Enterprise Features and User Experience Focus of 3.4

CLEVELAND, Ohio – November 21, 2007 – UrbanCode announces the release of AnthillPro 3.4, the newest version of its Continuous Integration, Build and Dependency Management, Deployment Automation, Test Orchestration, and Release Management tool. As the only enterprise-level Application Lifecycle Automation (ALA) server, AnthillPro provides a unique, holistic view of the entire software lifecycle.

For version 3.4, the User Interface underwent significant changes to increase user productivity and make AnthillPro more intuitive. With its Web 2.0 capabilities, version 3.4 combines many common processes, reducing the time users spend navigating from page to page. In addition to a new look, the User Interface introduces a hierarchical project management scheme enabling users to organize projects, workflows, and jobs into folders; as well as new metrics and reports that place relevant information at the user's fingertips. The redesigned UI also introduces a job library and a workflow library, allowing users to set up standardized build practices by reusing jobs and workflows across multiple projects.

New integrations with Microsoft SQL Server and Team Foundation Server expand AnthillPro's technological flexibility. And a tightened integration with Maven allows users to use the embedded dependency management system, Codestation, to securely work in tandem with Maven 2 repositories. AnthillPro 3.4 also introduces new features, including a customizable System Tray Monitor so users can access current activity without opening a browser, and an optional anonymous-user account providing access to public information.

When we recognized that many of our enterprise customers were copying similar processes from project to project, we developed a job library and a workflow library. With version 3.4, our customers now reuse standardized processes across their projects, eliminating the repetition of copying similar processes for each new project," Zawadzki concluded.
