AnthillPro is the original Build, Deploy, Test, Release automation framework. It provides automation for development teams looking to perform automated builds, promote them to their test environments and run their automated tests.

The next generation of AnthillPro is being renamed to UrbanCode DevOps Platform. This change in name also comes with a change in architecture and a change in product boundaries. Read more about the UrbanCode DevOps Platform.

Q: How will AnthillPro continue to be maintained?

AnthillPro will continue to be maintained with no plans for an end-of-life. UrbanCode will continue to provide maintenance releases and will not force you to upgrade.

Q: What about new functionality?

The next major release of AnthillPro will be 3.8.0 and will contain many highly desired features. Functionality planned for AnthillPro 4.0 will be included in the DevOps Platform. If you have any questions about the roadmap, please contact us using Supportal.

Q: What is the migration path? Will existing AnthillPro customers be able to upgrade to UrbanCode DevOps Platform?

If you're current on maintenance, you can upgrade to equivalent functionality at no cost. The DevOps Platform provides a clear upgrade path that is covered by existing Support and Maintenance agreements.

Q: Why change the name?

Calling uBuild (a build centric product) AnthillPro would be confusing. Our customers use AnthillPro for more than just build automation. We have many customers that use AnthillPro to automate application deployments to hundreds and even thousands of servers. And we have customers that rely on AnthillPro to provide them with visibility into the Release lifecycle process. Keeping the AnthillPro name and using it to denote a subset of the functionality that it represents today would be inaccurate.
