UrbanCode Velocity

Continuous Release service is retiring

We are retiring the Continuous Release service on May 8, 2018.

The Continuous Release service was available as a BETA release prior to the delivery of the on-premise product IBM UrbanCode Velocity. IBM UrbanCode Velocity replaces IBM Delivery Insights, which was part of IBM DevOps Insights.

Currently, IBM UrbanCode Velocity is a free community edition. Velocity reveals key performance indicators (KPIs) that track enterprise-wide metrics used by product and support teams to enhance performance and increase efficiency. Additional release management capabilities will be included in an upcoming release, including the composite pipeline feature delivered as part of IBM Continuous Delivery.

Here’s what you need to know:

End of Beta Date: May 1, 2018

As of May 6, 2018, New Continuous Release beta instances cannot be provisioned. However, existing instances will continue to be supported.

End of Beta Support Date: May 16, 2018

  • For a period of 15 days after the End of Beta Date, through May 16, all existing instances of Continuous Release will continue to be available on the Services dashboard in the Bluemix dashboard.
  • Any instance still provisioned as of the End of Beta Support Date will be deleted.
  • Contact jshackel@us.ibm.com for help with any migration required.
  • For more information and updates, visit the UrbanCode Velocity page.

As always, we’re here to help! Reach out to us in the support forums or on Twitter.
