Plug-in Documentation

Oracle WebLogic Integration Resource Management

Overview

The WebLogic Integration Resource Management plug-in automates the creation, update, and deletion of objects within WebLogic Integration objects as part of the deploy process.

The plug-in includes the following steps:

Compatibility

This plug-in requires version 6.0.1 and later of IBM UrbanCode Deploy.

This plug-in supports WebLogic Server versions 10g and later.

The steps in this plug-in run on any agents that the IBM UrbanCode Deploy server supports.

Installation

No special steps are required for installation. See Installing plug-ins in UrbanCode products.

History

Initial version 1.485262 released on May 22, 2014

Troubleshooting

If you experience one of the following problems when you use the plug-in, check the associated tip for resolving the issue.

Cannot connect to server

Check that the Host Name property is a simple host name or IP address and that the port number is included. Do not use a protocol in the property value. For example: http:.

Receive Class Not Found messages

The setDomainEnv script in the /bin directory sets the values for the Classpath parameters. If you receive the Class Not Found message, the most likely cause is a problem with the WebLogic Integration installation missing some JAR files. Install the product again or perform an update.

Example files not working

If the example files are not working, edit the files and check that the file paths match your environment. They do not work without modification.

Targets are not named appropriately

Targets are objects, like AdminServer. Do not use a domain name for the target.

Step failures

Each step action performs only one action. Using a step for different actions causes them to fail.

  • Do not use a create step to update an object.
  • Do not use an update step to create an object.
  • A Delete step will fail if the object to delete does not exist.

Usage

Before you begin

To use this plug-in, the Oracle WebLogic Server version 10g or later and agent must be installed.

Step palette

To access this plug-in in the palette, click Application Server > WebLogic > WLI Resource Management.

Example files

Example files that show how to define properties for each object are located in the ExampleFiles directory. The file type for the example files is prop. Update the file paths in the example files before you use them. The examples do not work without modification.
